IPPUDO PARIS | Restaurant Review

I love Paris and I love ramen and when you combine those two together it is heaven for me. It’s my 17th time visiting Paris and most of the time I crave for good French food but this time I crave for ramen.  After 3 exhausting days of baking, and I think I deserved a good bowl of delicious ramen. One of my classmate Satomi which is also, of course, a Japanese recommended me this restaurant “she said” its one of the best.

And I can’t believe that all of the places in the world that Paris would be the place where I would experience the best ramen I’ve had so far. It’s hard to put into words and describe the goodness and the delight I had after this dining encounter.

Ippudo is located in Saint – Germain 14 Rue Grégoire de Tours, 75006 Paris. No reservation needed as this is first come first serve basis this is a no fancy pancy shit a typical ramen joint that you come and go. The ambience of this place is very nice yet simple. The service is also extremely attentive. After looking at the menus for a few minutes, we were ready to order so the server immediately came to take our order.

We ordered 2 ramen bowls to share, the Shiromaru Chashu, original tonkatso broth served with ultra-thin noodles, pork loin, bean sprouts, kikurage and spring onions – €16

And my boyfriend ordered Akamaru Shinaji with original tonkatsu broth enhanced with special blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil, served also with pork belly, kikurage and spring onions. It is under the “moderne” as it is a refined modern style ramen. – €17  You can add eggs for additional €2

They offer choices on how you wanted your noodles prepared; we both opted for al-dente.

Service was very friendly and food came out lightening fast. Would definitely recommend if you find yourself craving ramen in Paris. I would give this a 8/10 ramen rate.
